Court Appearance for Betting Investment Fraud Suspects

An audacious theft of $5,000 by a man using a motorized wheelchair took place at the respected Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Although the incident transpired on March 8, the story only broke last Friday.

According to regional news sources, the victim was engrossed in slot games at the esteemed Pittsburgh venue. After cashing out, he secured his earnings in his pocket and returned to his game. Unknowingly, as he carried on with his game, his cash fell from his pocket unnoticed.

The accident resulted in the money falling behind the unsuspecting player’s chair. The discarded bundle of cash was quickly spotted by an unidentified man using a motorized wheelchair. The man, upon finding it, picked up the scattered $5,000, comprised of $100 notes, and promptly left the establishment instead of returning the finds.

Investigators in the area postulate that the potential suspect, likely aged between 50 and 60, utilized the subway and disembarked at the T-station located between the Pittsburgh Casino and Acrisure Stadium.

Focusing on Rivers Casino, it is worth noting that the company has recently encountered issues with two employees who were arrested in relation to a roulette cheating conspiracy.

Alleged Child Murderess Accused of Theft From Casino Patron

In a separate incident, a black woman has been accused of taking over $1,000 worth of possessions from a gentleman at the Queen Casino in Baton Rouge.

The blameless individual initially encountered the woman, subsequently identified as Dineshia Yates, on October 15. He made her acquaintance at the casino, extended an invitation to his residence, and departed separately to reconvene at his apartment around 6 am.

During his occupation at his residence, the man indulged in a shower. Upon concluding his shower, he discovered that Yates was absent and to his shock, his car keys, wallet, cell phone, and $350 wristwatch had disappeared. Further inspection revealed that roughly $850 was missing from his vehicle, and unauthorized Cashapp transactions amounting to $700 were later reported.

Yates has since been arrested and held at the East Baton Rouge Prison. Worth mentioning is her previous arrest in February, where she faced charges of principal to second-degree murder and principal to simple battery, rooted in allegations that she participated in the brutal treatment of a 3-year-old girl. Yates is purported to have partnered with a mother and two young accomplices in this alleged crime, and was released on bond for these charges.

NC Officials Clamp Down on Unlicensed Gambling Activities

Meanwhile, regulatory officials in North Carolina have stormed two unauthorized gambling houses, confiscating thousands of dollars, numerous gaming machines, and multiple illegal firearms.

The two targeted dens were the Shark Tank in Salisbury and the VIP2 in Woodleaf. Around $67,670 was confiscated and 116 computers, three guns, five gambling devices, six fish game tables, and two money counters were also salvaged.

These extensive operations are a response to multiple accounts of violence, drug-related activities, and firearm offenses reported at the two aforementioned properties. Rowan County Sheriff Travis Allen issued a notice to illegal operators that the state is prepared to do everything necessary to dismantle any locations that serve as “breeding grounds for criminal behavior.”

Earlier this month, the authorities successfully raided an illegal cockfighting ring resulting in 50 arrests and the impoundment of $37,000.
