Professional hoops icon, Chance Comanche, has been apprehended on the basis of alleged involvement in a woman’s murder. As per police statements, Comanche, 27, is suspected to have partnered with his lover, Sakari Harnden, in executing the gruesome act.
The deceased party in the case is Marayna Rodgers, a 23-years old female reported missing lately. Information reached the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealing Rodgers’ residential status as a Washington citizen who was holidaying in Las Vegas with some acquaintances. The last eye-witness account had her stepping into a vehicle with Harnden on the 6th of December.
Alarm bells were set off the following day when Rodgers was reported missing. This triggered detective suspicion about a possible under-the-surface criminal occurrence. Subsequently, the police gathered sufficient proof to justify the arrests of Harnden and Comanche. The collected clues guided the authorities to Rodgers’ final resting place. After conducting a brief search, the law enforcement personnel uncovered her deceased body close to the desert area near Henderson, Nevada.
The law enforcement agents theorize that the dual offenders had probably laid out a detailed premeditated strategy to kidnap and then murder Rodgers. Preliminary findings suggest some past familiarity between Rodgers and Harnden.
Offenders Now In Custody
Comanche was apprehended in California and temporarily housed in the Sacramento County jail. There are arrangements for his transfer to Nevada to face his trial. Harnden, however, has been confined in the Clark County Detention Center with bail fixed at half a million dollars.
Post the detentions, Harnden was slapped with charges relating to abduction, theft, and murder. As for Comanche, although not officially charged with murder at present, the local law enforcement has indicated that the charge list would soon be updated to include involvement in an open murder plot.
There are still some uncertainties surrounding the murder events, and it is expected that these missing links would be revealed as the investigation unfolds.
