The Responsible Gambling Affiliate Association (RGAA) recently proclaimed it would be presenting a new membership initiative at the SBC Summit in North America. Through this initiative, RGAA aims to promote the growth of a robust community of affiliate firms while also giving prominence to consumer protection.
Expansion of RGAA Membership for Enhanced Integrity and Consumer Safety Measures
Max Bichsel, RGAA Chair, highlighted the significance of this innovative program, stating: “Unveiling our membership program marks a crucial phase for the RGAA, wherein we are focused on endorsing responsible gambling practices while advocating for justifiable regulation in the sector. Each new affiliate strengthens our endeavor to prioritize integrity and consumer protection in our industry.”
The RGAA was brought into existence in 2023 via a consortium of industry leaders that included giants such as Better Collective, Catena Media, FairPlay Sports Media, Gambling.com, Spotlight Sports Group, and XLMedia. Since its inception, it has fervently worked towards endorsing integrity along with responsible marketing approaches.
With the new increase of its membership scheme, RGAA proposes to widen its sphere of influence and establish the objectives as outlined by its founding members. New affiliates will gain from shared representation within the gaming industry and will have access to a plethora of resources including updates on regulation, educational content, and tools crafted for business growth.
CEO of Better Collective Focuses on the Industry’s Commitment to Player Welfare
Rasmus Sojmark, the founder and CEO of SBC Gaming, demonstrated his enthusiasm for the alliance, saying: “Our previous year’s Summit was successful in uniting industry frontrunners across North America with a common goal to collaborate and create substantial change. My optimism for this year remains undeterred, and our partnership with RGAA will further uplift the discussion on responsible gambling and player welfare.”
Members are duty-bound to commit to upholding the standards of responsible gambling, including a compulsory annual compliance audit. Membership entails acquiring the esteemed RGAA Standards of Excellence certification, a testament to the member’s commitment to responsible advertising and marketing practices in gambling and protecting consumer interests.
Marc Pedersen, CEO of North America for Better Collective and an RGAA board member, laid emphasis on the concerted commitment towards player welfare within the RGAA and pointed out that Better Collective, as a founding member, brings in more than two decades of industry experience. He also anticipates an increased membership at RGAA as the organization diligently works towards improving safer gambling practices and player protection.
