Court Appearance for Betting Investment Fraud Suspects

A pair of baccarat dealers stationed in Las Vegas are currently under scrutiny, believed to have been illegally assisting players to achieve large-scale winnings. This was brought to light by local broadcasting station, 8 News Now, who shared that the individuals might be facing legal charges due to their alleged engagement in this illicit activity.

Relevant evidence points out that Yuxuan Leng and another dealer who has chosen to remain anonymous, both previously employed by Rampart Casino located in Summerlin, may have conspired with a duo of baccarat participants. The Nevada Gaming Control Board was brought into the picture in May of 2022, following a tip-off about the ongoing fraudulent situation.

The representative of the casino facility who reached out to the Board stated that two baccarat enthusiasts had suddenly begun taking home an unusually larger share of winnings than standard play would allow. The alert casino employees inspected the recorded video surveillance material with scrutiny, eventually unearthing the fact that the dealers had been covertly revealing playing cards to the participants before the game completion.

The court-provided documentation delineates that the dealer duo revealed cards to track participants, a move that subsequently facilitated them in adjusting their stakes strategically.

The cheating dealers sabotaged the games on six separate incidents, enabling the mentioned participants to reap knowledge that significantly improved their odds of winning. The outcome of this underhanded technique was that the pair of players managed to amass winnings exceeding $5,000 each, collected during the six fraudulent incidents.

Legal Action Against The Dealers

The security team within the casino facility took the initiative of getting in touch with the pair of baccarat players for an inquiry, which is a key component of the ongoing investigation. One among the pair accepted to having a covert deal with the dealer and confessed to using the knowledge of the card’s sequence to boost his winnings.

The second player on the other hand, rejected all claims about his engagement or awareness of the plotted scheme.

Similar to the denied allegations by the second player, the unnamed dealer also established his innocence claiming his apparent ‘leaks’ of cards was due to his rapid, yet sloppy dealing style and not an intentional act of collusion. This dealer also refused to admit of accepting money from the players. Despite his plea of innocence, he was taken into custody.

Meanwhile, the investigators were unable to secure a conversation with Leng. This resulted in the issuance of a warrant for her arrest which was successfully executed on the 2nd of November.

As reported by 8 News Now, Leng is due to appear before the court in December. The broadcasting channel declared that they have been unable to confirm any updated information regarding the anonymous dealer.
