The renowned real estate magnate Dwight Manley, aged 57, has embarked on legal proceedings against MGM Resorts. He contends that a doctored drink resulted in him losing control and squandering a staggering two million dollars. According to Manley, the MGM staff did nothing to curb his losses, aside from extending credit to him.
A frequenter at MGM-branded properties, Manley was in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand venue in 2021, having accepted an invitation to lodge at the MGM Mansion. The legal complaint notes that Manley ordered a cocktail that exhibited an unusual “bitter” taste on December 10. Following his second cocktail, Manley, a high-ranking executive in the real estate sector, started feeling “disoriented” and began to display aberrant behaviour.
His disorientation led to Manley shattering an ashtray, and in turn injuring his hand. The complaint suggests that the casino staff provided him with a quick fix of band-aids and switched him to another gaming table but did not provide extensive medical assistance.
Regardless of the clear signs of unease, Manley was reportedly offered a credit line of up to $3.5 million, alleges the lawsuit.
In the evening, Manley was found unconscious in his villa. Following the incident, he undertook medical tests in California, which confirmed ketamine presence in his system.
Manley Is Unrelenting in His Pursuit of Justice
In response to the incident, besides filing a lawsuit, Manley has networked with a private investigator. As part of his continued investigation, Manley invites people with any knowledge about the incident to report the same via www.Reward4InfoCasinoDrugging.com, promising a substantial reward of $500,000 to anyone who can reveal the identity of the individual or individuals behind the act.
Through his lawsuit, Manley seeks to highlight ketamine’s potential hazards, which arguably endangered his life. Consequently, the Las Vegas Metro Police and Nevada Gaming Control Board have been brought into the loop.
The lawsuit is aimed at recovering damages, arguing against holding Manley financially accountable for the money he lost while under the influence of a powerful drug.
It’s worth noting that ketamine is typically used as an anesthetic in veterinary practices but has recently gained notoriety as a recreational drug. High doses of ketamine can induce a severe dissociative state, adding to its potential dangers.
