The Dutch gaming regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), undertakes ongoing scrutiny of activities run by gambling operators within the country. Their remit spans across both licensed operators and those who operate gaming activities without a Dutch license. Recently, KSA revealed on Monday that, following investigation, it was discovered that a gambling entity, Blue High House SA, had been providing games of chance to Dutch customers without appropriate permissions.
The regulator, being the national body with jurisdiction, has the power to investigate operators suspected of targeting the Netherlands’ customer base potentially. Following a recently concluded investigation, it was unveiled that Blue High House SA was providing games of chance through its concreteline.ag website to Dutch customers, taking place in severely stark contrast with the existing regulations. Relevant authorities have announced that the operator is not licensed in the Netherlands.
Furthermore, the in-depth investigation revealed that a significant number of Blue High House’s patrons are Dutch-based. Given the operator’s lack of license, the KSA classified this as an “illegal offering.” They further insisted that it must be terminated immediately. Supporting the declaration, the gaming regulator asserted that a €43,000 ($45,400) financial penalty per weekwill come into effect should the operator’s compliance fail, accumulating up to a maximum of €129,000 ($136,100).
“Blue High House SA faces a penalty issued by the Gambling Authority for providing games of chance via the concreteline.ag website. The absence of a permit to operate within the Netherlands, therefore, equates to a violation of the Gambling Act. With the penalty subject to an order, the KSA urges for the immediate cessation of this illicit offering,“

The KSA, in its announcement, elaborated that it would maintain its close watch over gambling activities, particularly observing the actions of Blue High House. The regulator reciprocated, holding that punitive measures such as fines are instituted to deter violations of gaming regulations.
Moreover, the KSA reiterated the significance of resorting to licensed gambling operators. It emphasized that the strict regulations and rules established in relation to gambling operate to ensure that customers can access safe, legal gaming activities. The KSA further enlarged upon how licensed gambling operators follow the regulations intended to guarantee player protection, as well as prevent the development of gambling addiction.
